Turn on two step verification on Google account and Gmail

To secure our Google and Gmail accounts from hackers Google now offers a two step verification.To activate this Go to 'Google Account Settings'
Go to 'Security' - '2-Step Verification'
Click 'Edit'
Click 'Start Setup'
On the New window Select your Country.
Then enter your Mobile number.
Choose 'SMS text message' or 'Voice call'
Click 'Send Code'
You will get a verification code on your mobile phone.
Enter the Code you receive on your phone in the Code box.
Click verify.
After verification Click 'Next'.
If you are using your personal computer or Laptop check on 'Trust this Computer' box.Doing so your computer will ask verification codes only once every 30 days.If you lose your phone you might be able to access your account from this trusted Computer with out entering a code.If other people have access to this computer leave this box unchecked.
Click 'Next'
Click on 'TURN ON 2-STEP VERIFICATION' to activate.
When you turn on 2-step verification some applications may fail.Then you have to generate new passwords for all applications.
For that again go to Google account settings
Go to 'Authorizing applications & sites'
Click on 'Edit'
Go to 'Generate a new application-specific password'.
 Enter a name for the application on the box to remember and click 'Generate password'. For example Enter 'Google Talk' on the box and click 'Generate password' to generate password for Google Talk application.Now you can use this password for Google Talk.No need to remember this application specific password.

Adding Security question to Google account or Gmail

Adding security question is also an important step to keep your Google and Gmail account safe.You can do this easily.For that
Go to Google Account Settings
Click on 'Change Recovery Options'
Now you are on 'Account Recovery Options'
Go to security question
Click on 'Edit'
Choose the security question you want.
Then answer the question. (It is very important to remember this answer)
Then save.
NB- Not using simple questions like Your birth place, Make of your vehicle, Number of Your vehicle, Phone number etc is better.Using questions like Name of your first teacher, Name of First pet etc, Your favourite book, Your favourite historic person etc is comparatively good.

Adding recovery email address to Gmail

It is very important to add a recovery Email address to all your Emails.In case you forgot your password, your Email provider may send you a link to reset the password on this recovery email address instead of asking security questions (Some times you will get three unlock options- By SMS, Email or Security Question).This will minimize the chances of getting your valuable password to hackers and hijackers.So it is an unavoidable step to keep your email safe.
In order to add a recovery email address to Gmail go to
Google Account Settings
Now you are on 'Account Overview' tab.
Go to 'Security' - 'Password'
Click on 'Change Recovery Options' 
Now you are on 'Account Recovery Options'
Go to 'Email'- 'Recovery Email Address'
Add your another Email address.Then Click on 'Save'.
You have Done.

Page speed by Google; Check your website's page loading speed online

Page speed is an important factor affecting your website's ranking and visitors.If your pages are loading slowly there is a possibility of your visitors going to another page or website.How to check the speed of your web page? Now it is easy.Google has released page speed online, a new tool to check the speed of webpages.In Google's own words "Page Speed Online analyzes the content of a web page, then generates suggestions to make that page faster. Reducing page load times can reduce bounce rates and increase conversion rates"
To check your website's speed just go to the website and enter your domain name.Google will give your page a score out of hundred.It will also provide suggestions to improve your page speed if necessary.Suggestions for improvement are given according to their priority (High medium or low).
Page speed is also available to install on firefox or google.

Bhuvan;The Virtual globe and Imagery Software from ISRO

Bhuvan is an earth browser by ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) gives a gateway to explore and discover virtual earth in 3D Space with Specific emphasis on Indian Region.It is still in beta version.It offers more detailed imagery of Indian locations compared to other virtual globe softwares.
It has spatial resolutions ranging from 5 to 100 metres.By using it locations can be viewed from different perspectives.It will also provide functionality for the measurement of distances. The Bhuvan web portal is designed to run even on slower Internet connections. The images do not include any military installations in India, for security concerns.
According to ISRO, the application can provide imagery from a perceived altitude of as little as 10 metres for major Indian cities.
Bhuvan makes it possible to view 2D and 3D images.It also allows the visualization of Automatic weather station data in the graphic view or in tabular form.The drawing function in this software allows users to draw certain objects in 2D and 3D.We can create snap shots and measurement tools to calculate the distances.Shadow analysis is also a helpful feature.
To run Bhuvan 3D on your system you may have to run a pluggin from the publisher (Bhuvan) website.For 2D no pluggin is needed.
